My "value voice" often screams that I'm wasting money, even when I can afford it. I'm learning to tune it out and trust my preparation so I can enjoy life today.
Your blog will resonate with so many! I believe I have been TicketMaster’s #1 customer this year (ha!) taking my kids to 10+ concerts all over the country, because they asked to go AND I get to spend time with them! I have paid a ridiculous amount for close by parking spots too - I mean the cost of another ticket just to have the convenience and safety of getting my teens home after the concert ends late at night. Value voice says you are wasteful and not practical, but I don’t have many years left with my kids at home. Next up, country music concert in Vegas with my daughters in December!
Your timing is impeccable. I was just mentally wrangling with which tickets to use to fly to Europe next spring. I had all those same thoughts in my head, but I couldn't label them. Now I know why I was struggling.
Lisa, I can’t think of a better thing to spend your money on. Enjoy the trip to Vegas with your daughters.
So glad it was helpful. Overcoming the value voice is an ongoing battle for me, and it is getting easier over time. Hope you are doing well.
